LIGHT WEATHER
Privacy
policy.
Last updated: August 13, 2026
LIGHT WEATHER is made by ONESHOTSTAR. This policy explains what information the app uses, why it is used, and the choices available to you.
1. Information we use
Location
When you allow location access, LIGHT WEATHER requests your location once to choose a starting place and show local solar times. The app does not continuously track your location. You can deny permission and choose a city manually instead.
Location coordinates used for solar calculations are stored on your device as part of the places you choose. We do not operate a server that stores your location history.
Weather data
When available, LIGHT WEATHER requests weather information from Apple WeatherKit for the place you are viewing. WeatherKit is used to add current conditions to the light experience. Solar times continue to work when weather data is unavailable.
Places and preferences
Saved places, the selected place, alert preferences, and onboarding state are stored locally on your device. The app does not require an account and does not provide cloud sync in this release.
Subscriptions
Subscriptions are purchased through Apple’s App Store. LIGHT WEATHER uses RevenueCat to retrieve subscription offerings, process purchase state, and restore purchases. RevenueCat may receive information needed to identify the device or transaction, such as an anonymous app user identifier, device information, and Apple receipt or transaction information. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
For details about RevenueCat’s processing, please see the RevenueCat Privacy Policy. Apple’s terms and privacy practices also apply to App Store transactions.
2. How information is used
Information is used to provide the app’s functions: calculating solar times, showing weather conditions, managing saved places, scheduling local light alerts, and enabling or restoring your subscription.
LIGHT WEATHER does not use your information for advertising, cross-app tracking, or profiling. The app does not sell personal information.
3. Sharing
We do not sell or share your location history. The app sends requests to Apple WeatherKit to provide weather information and uses RevenueCat for subscription management. These services process information according to their own policies and the information needed to provide their services.
4. Your choices
You can change location permission in iOS Settings. You can remove saved places from within the app. You can disable or change light alerts in the app and manage or cancel a subscription through your Apple ID subscription settings.
Because most app preferences are stored locally, deleting the app removes that local data. If you have a question about information handled by RevenueCat on behalf of LIGHT WEATHER, contact us first so we can help with the request.
5. Children
LIGHT WEATHER is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app or its data practices change. The “Last updated” date above shows when this version took effect.
